1. Hong Kee Dessert Stall 洪记糖水

I believe Hong Kee Dessert Stall will appeared in many people mind when we say Tong Shui. Located in Section 17 PJ, this dessert stall served over 20 types of Chinese desserts such like bubur cha cha, red bean soup, sesame paste, peanut paste and many more. You even can mix and match the Tong Shui here and make it your special menu. Better come earlier as you can, Tong Shui here selling fast usually.

2. KTZ 记得食

I think this shop is quite familiar for everyone. Setting their first shop in Kepong then a branch in SS2, obviously their business is running quite well. They are open till 1am every day, so if you are looking for some dessert in the midnight you know where to go to. Other than traditional Tong Shui, they serve some dim sum and quite famous for their fruit sago dessert too.

If you are a fans of sesame paste and peanut paste, then you shouldn’t miss out this! Ruby Restaurant’s sesame paste and peanut paste are handmade and hand-milled. It’s absolutely authentic! The paste tastes super dense and smooth!

You know what, if you are not satisfied with the dessert you have ordered, you wouldn’t need to pay a cent as written on the sign board. Other than peanut paste and black sesame paste, they also famous for their stead egg custard.

Lol Soon Kee not only serving a wide variety of Tong Shui but also a long list of snacks and cold desserts. What can you buy with RM 3? A bowl of Tong Shui! Red bean soup, Sweet Potato Soup, Bubur Cacar, Barley with bean curd soup, Mak Zuk here are all selling at RM3 only! They also selling different types of snacks here to go together with their dessert. Their Nasi Lemak also not bad too! The food they served here is pretty homely, kinda like your home cooked taste.

Operated for over half a century, from a stall in front of the theater, and now it has its own shop! This shop now is selling more than 30 kinds food, including about 10 kinds of Tong Shui like egg tea, red bean soup, Mak Zuk, peanut paste and sesame paste and etc. Besides, side dish like Malay kuih muih, fried raddish cake, dumplings also serving here. No matter who you are, there is something for every palate.

Missing your grandmother kinda Tong Shui? Head no where but PoPoJia! This shop is decorated in very nostalgic style. Just make you feel like you’re back to your grandma’s house. Other than Tong Shui, they also sell some main dish like curry pork rice, Nasi Lemak, Rendang and many more. The food here is prepared with heart and surely won’t disappoint you.

Located at Cheras Traders Square, this Tong Shui shop decorated with the Three Kingdoms theme, it’s filled with ancient atmosphere here! They selling both cold and hot Tong Shui in a range of Longan Tofu, Osmanthus Cake, Red Bean soup, Sweet Potato soup and etc. Not only traditional Tong Shui, some modern cold desserts also can be found here. Longan Tofu is their signature Tong Shui here.

9. Poon Kee Desserts潘记糖水

Since 1930’s, Poon Kee Dessert has started this family owned business. There are eleven kinds of Tong Shui selling here everyday and it’s all cooked at home, so it is guaranteed fresh! Recommend their Taichi Tong Shui which mix the black sesame paste with peanut paste, you can now enjoy both Tong Shui in a bowl. Not to mention, their Chee Cheong Fun also one of the signature dish here.

Just like other Tong Shui shop, this shop also selling red beans, green beans, black glutinous rice, and etc., so what makes this shop different from others? In Coconut Tree corner, they insist on using charcoal to cook their dessert! Although the process is hard, but look at the customer’s expression here, you know that’s worth it! Bubur Cha Cha is the signature Tong Shui here, which usually been sold out before the afternoon everyday. Want to try it? Better come earlier.

This one should be quite familiar for most of you. Satu is often tucked in shopping malls like One Utama and Sunway Velocity, and it definitely one of the best place to enjoy a hot bowl of Tong Shui after one whole day of shopping! They serves different types of snacks as well, the famous one would be their Taufu Fah which comes together with few types of ingredients to put into it. If you like modern kinda Chinese dessert, this is the one for you.

Another gems in PJ area, this shop selling traditional Tong Shui and some main dish at the same time. According to reviews, apparently they serve good tomato noodles and Siam Laksa too!
